The Governor of Manipur has led in conveying her greetings to the Muslim community of the State on the joyous occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr, followed by various political figures and State organisations.
In a statement, Governor Anusuiya Uikey said that the holy festival of Eid-Ul-Fitr not only spreads the message of peace, brotherhood and universal love but also entreats mankind to perform deeds of positive value to enhance their souls.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh shared that Eid-Ul-Fitr is usually celebrated on the second day of Shawwal, the tenth month of the Islamic calendar after the sighting of the new moon by breaking their fast.
"May Allah guide His believers along every path, filling their lives with peace, health and happiness", the Chief Minister said in a statement.
Following them in extending his greetings, Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Th Satyabrata Singh expressed hope that the festival will imbibe the people of the State with the values connected with Eid-Ul-Fitr.
With the arrival of this auspicious festival, Water Resources Minister Awangbow Newmai urged people to remember that the world is one big family and resolve to work together for a peaceful and prosperous society while RD & PR Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh prayed for this day to bring love, peace and happiness to every Muslim household.
K Robindro Singh, Member, Manipur Legislative Assembly called upon people to keep the less fortunate in mind and extend a helping hand to them on Eid-Ul-Fitr.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Noorul Hassan, Member, Manipur Legislative Assembly extended his warm wishes to those who observed the holy month of Ramadan with devotion and further reaffirmed his commitment to serving society with honesty, integrity and dedication.
He also wished everyone a happy and peaceful Eid-Ul-Fitr.
Many organisations have also extended their warmest wishes on the auspicious occasion of Member, Manipur Legislative Assembly.
This includes Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, United Peoples' Front Manipur, Manipur People's Party, United Committee Manipur, Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol, Federation of Civil Society Organisation, Manipur, The All Manipur Muslim Students' Organisation, All India Tanzeem-E-Insaaf, Manipur State Council and Manipur Youth
& Students Union.
