Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit organised

UKHRUL: The 8th edition of District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit was held at DRDA Hall, Mini-Secretariat in Ukhrul on Friday, drawing around 200 people from different corners of the district.
The event was attended by Ukhrul DC Krishna Kumar, SP Ningshem Vashum, CMO Kapangring, CEO David Kashungnao, ADM Chunglenmang, SDO Ukhrul & Chingai Suranjoy Maibam Singh, Mangminlen Vaiphei SDO& ADM Jessami, and ACF Amit Khaler among others.
Giving the keynote ad dress, DC Kumar reminded the gathering about the objective of organising the event which focuses on ensuring citizen-centric governance and effective implementation of government schemes.
He made an appeal to all District Level Officers (DLOs), asking them to prioritise resolving the grievances of their clients on the same day they are brought up.
The DC also took the time and patience to attend to every individual and their grievances.
The departments accepted the various requests made by attendees and assured of taking up all measures necessary to resolve their problems.

As part of programme the district level 1st round of National Deworming day was also launched by deputy commissioner Mayanglambam Rajkumar during which 200 children from different schools and ICDS given deworming tablets.
As part of the "Seri-Entrepreneurship Development in Aspirational Districts of North-Eastern India" project, the DC through the district sericulture department, distributed silkworm rearing appliances namely Iron rack, plastic collapsible montages, incubator, foam pad and disinfectant Labex to the beneficiaries in the presence of Chandel District Sericulture assistant director (Tasar) Amang Mangte.
The appliances were procured and supplied by Central Sericulture Research and Training Institute, Berhampore of Central Silk Board under Ministry of Textiles as part of its project "Seri-Entrepreneurship Development in Aspirational Districts of North-Eastern India" which is implemented in the aspirational district Chandel in collaboration with Department of Sericulture with funding from the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, New Delhi.
As usual different departments like Health, Social Welfare, Agriculture, ICDS, and all the other departments of the district rendered services to many individuals of the district.
SENAPATI: For the month of April, Senapati district administration on Friday organised the District Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyamgi Numit at Khabung Karong village community hall.
DC Mahesh Chaudhari distributed ration cards, school uniforms and free textbooks, fire extinguishers and yoga mats.
A welding machine and a water pump were also handed over to the village chairman and secretary for operation and maintenance of water supply scheme under NESIDS.
Various grievances relating to voter card renewal and correction, Aadhaar correction and enrolment, problem relating to power supply, job cards, Old Age pension, widow card, driving license, disability certificate and enquiry about schemes from various department were addressed at the spot.
Besides, various certificates like Income, Domicile and Tribe were also issued.
The Health department also provided health cards and screening of non-communicable diseases done free of cost.

BISHNUPUR: Bishnupur district administration organised Meeyamgi Numit at Ningthoukhong Kha Lamlong bazar community hall.
This month's edition of the people's day is the first outreach Meeyamgi Numit organised outside the district headquarters.
DC Lourembam Bikram, accompanied by SDO Bishnupur, SDPO Bishnupur and DLOs heard the grievances of around 320 applicants, pertaining to CMHT Card, Labour Card, Widow Pension, Old Age Pension and Ration Cards among others.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Bikram informed that purpose of Meeyamgi Numit is not only to address the grievances of the public, but also to raise awareness on the projects and schemes implemented by various line departments in the district.
Cautioning the public against unauthorised conversion of agricultural lands in contravention of the Manipur Conservation of Pad dy Lands and Wetlands Act, Bikram also urged the people to report illegal activities on agricultural land to the district administration.
The DC later distributed Weavers Cards, seeds and saplings under Horticulture and Soil Conservation to the beneficiaries.
