Imphal, February 20 2022:
Keishamthong AC independent candidate Nishikant Sapam has stated that he is contesting the elections with the goal of bringing huge changes in the state and handing over the real "Sanaleibak" to the future generations.
He made the statement during a public meeting organised by Team Nishikant at Khwairakpam Leikai on Sunday.
Nishikant continued that the unwavering courage and support of Team Nishikant and the people of Keishamthong is his reason for going forward with the decision of contesting the polls.
Being an independent candidate and lacking the support of a political party, he did not have any power when the CM visited the constituency to campaign for his (BJP) party's candidate.
Nonetheless, he will not be a politician who is ungrateful towards his workers and lacking a clear vision for the state, he said, while adding that any failure to change the status quo would put the state under immense difficulties for the next few decades.
The meeting was attended by senior citizen Tongbram Jugesh-war, Khwairakpam Leikai Singlup president Soubam Indramani, Ward no 11 ex-corporator M Joy, Ward no 13 ex-corporator O Romeo, Ward no 9 Team Nishikant president Ch Iboyaima and Padmashri Naba Wareppa.
