ASR Chandel condemns Sugnu police

Anal Sinnu Ruwl (Anal Women Union), Chandel has strongly condemned Sugnu Police commando for opening fire at the women folk of Unopat village, Western Valley Area who were on Nisha Bandh duty on Saturday evening.
In a statement released by its vice president Ps Tonila, the Union mentioned that presently, election campaigns are at its peak in the state and there is a high possibility of tussles among the different political parties.
Thus, the women society of Unopat village came up with the idea of Nisha Bandh to prevent any quarrels or misunderstandings amongst the villagers as a precaution.
Demanding strict action against the erring officials responsible for firing live rounds towards innocent civilians, the Union also demanded the release of the two innocent civilians who are wrongfully arrested by Sugnu Police.
It also called for cooperation from all like-minded citizens of the state in condemning such acts and prevent a repeat of the same in the future.
