SVEEP campaign held at Patsoi

Imphal, February 21 2022:
A one day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme on Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was organised at Patsoi Part 1, Imphal West by the Regional Outreach Bureau ROB) Imphal, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Monday.
ROB Imphal head Dr Aribam Ibomcha Sharma explained on Informed Choice and Ethical Voting to the audience which consist mainly of new and first time voters.
Speaking as a resource person, Patsoi SDO Samson explained on inclusive and accessible election, Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT), importance of every single vote which will elect MLAs, who in turn would play the crucial role in electing the President of India.
A quiz contest was also held as part of the programme and prizes along with certificates distributed.
Private Registered Troupes (PRTs) of ROB Imphal, Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association performed Thang-Ta show while M/s United Artistes' Association performed a drama - Meehut khanba (Election).
The event was presided over by president of Patsoi Part 1 club L Shyamji Singh.
