CM preaches peace at Tadubi poll event

Chief minister N Biren on Monday attended the flag hoisting ceremony of BJP candidate from Tadubi assembly constituency O Lohrii held at Senapati Mini Stadium.
In his address, CM Biren paid: "Without peace we cannot have development and peace came from trust".
Biren claimed that in the last 5 years, the BJP led government has done lots of developmental Works in the state which the previous governments could not do so in 20/30 years like schemes for the poor, housing, water supply, health care, national highways, etc.
He mentioned that Senapati district has also witnessed big developmental changes with the coming of BJP government like building residential schools, health sector, better road condition, etc.
N Biren informed that he tried to complete the Senapati Mini Stadium drainage system, but the Model Code of Conduct was enforced before it could be finished.
On the law and order situation in the state, chief minister asserted that the state has become considerably peaceful in comparison to the time during the previous Congress government.
He reminded the gathering about the works done by the BJP government for the benefit of the people and said the citizens should not forget about it.
The CM also advised all to not believe in fake news being spread against the BJP that atrocities are committed on the minorities.
He further expressed confidence that the party will win one seat from Tamenglong and two seats from Senapati districts and appealed to the gathering to elect BJP candidate for bringing more development in the state.
On developmental front, N Biren said that Rs 1 crore was sanctioned for the development of heritage site at Makhel of Senapati district and another Rs 50 crore is in the pipeline for developing the historical place into international level for attracting tourists.
On BJP's manifesto, the CM pointed out that the party is giving special attention to the indigenous people to protect and preserve their interest, culture and tradition and has given priority on unemployed youth and has proposed increasing the fund allotted for it from present Rs 25 crore up to Rs 100 crore in the state budget.
Urging the electors to vote for Lohrii, the CM introduced him as a social activist, who is liberal and has much concern for the tribal and Manipur state.
BJP candidate O Lohrii, community leaders from Zeliangrong, Kuki, Nepali and others also spoke at the programme.
