NPF Chandel clarifies

The NPF Chandel Division has clarified that the allegations made against the party over voter intimidation at Unopat village, Western Valley area, Chandel as baseless and concocted.
Addressing a press conference held at the party office in Chandel, Langhu Startson, president of NPF Chandel Division informed that NPF has been strictly following the guidelines issued by Election Commission of India for a free and fair election.
"It is rather unfortunate that some political parties are misinforming the public in a bid to discredit the NPF, he added.
41-Chandel NPF, Chief agent Tongsim Willingson cautioned that defamation suits would be taken up against any group or individual trying to spread misinformation and discredit the party and its candidate without any evidence.
He also mentioned that NPF strongly condemned the act of firing tear gas and live rounds to disperse innocent villagers at Sugnu allegedly by Kakching District police.
Moreover, NPF 41-Chandel (ST) Area Unit has also clarified that the allegation put forward by BJP 41-Chandel Mandal that NPF workers used sticks, knives while making an unauthorized campaign on the night of February 19, 2022, at Unopat village is null and void as the NPF workers never took part in such unauthorized campaign.
It also condemned the use of state machinery and forces to threaten the people of Western valley areas by some party and the arrest of two innocent civilians on the same night.
It further appealed to the ECI to look into the matter seriously to ensure free and fair election in Chandel.
