BJP refutes Rahul

Taking exception to what Rahul Gandhi said during the public meeting held today, Manipur Pradesh BJP vice president Chingambam Chidananda Singh said that the charge that the BJP is engaged in using force to govern the State is basless.
Chingangbam Chidananda Singh who is also in charge of media of the saffron party told reporters at the BJP office at Nityaipat Chuthek today that Rahul Gandhi has become oblivious of the developments taken up here during the last 5 years.
Taking jibes at the Congress party, he said that it was during the 15 years of Congress rule that force and violence were used to govern the State as evident from numerous fake encounters during 2002 and 2017.Rahul Gandhi should read about all the cases related to fake encounters which are under investigation, he added.
The BJP Government in the State under the leadership of Chief Minister N Biren Singh has put an end to fake encounters.
There has been no instance of fake encounters during the last five years, he claimed.
He added that all preparations are completed for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the State tomorrow (Feb 22) to campaign for the party ahead of the Assembly election that is slated to be held across the State in two phases on February 28 and March 5 .
