32nd State Thang-Ta ChampionshipH Ridesh earns Kanglei Thang-Ta Sindam Shang third gold in sub-junior Phunaba Ama event

Imphal, February 21 2022:
H Ridesh of Kanglei Thang-Ta Sindam Shang, Maklang won third gold for the unit in sub-junior Phunaba Ama event at the 32nd State Thang-Ta Championship being underway at Thang-Ta Shanglen, Yumnam Huidrom under the supervision of Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur.
Haobijam Ranendrajit Singh (U-25 kg) and Mayanglambam Kemarun Singh (-53 kg) had won the unit a gold medal each yesterday in the same event as H Ridesh sealed the third gold medal today beating H Nongdamba Singh of Thang-Ta Maheikol in the +53 kg final category bout.
N Nivash Singh of Nongsha Lallong Thang-Ta fetched the bronze medal in the said category.
Earlier, Th Santoshmani Meitei of Anjika, Sangaiprou bagged the gold medal in the 45 kg sub-junior boys Phunaba Ama event getting better of Lisham Elvis of Indigenous Culture & Sports Academy (ICASA) in the final.
Winning bronze medal in this category was Ng Bholen Singh of Kanglei Thang-Ta Sindam Shang, Maklang.
In the Phunaba Ama event for sub-junior girls, H Momoka Devi of Kanglei Enat Thang-Ta Sindam Sanglen sealed the -21 kg category gold medal beating M Yaiphabi Devi of Laiyingthou Kangba Thang-Ta, Kangmong in the final while L Momoka Devi of Ibudhou Puthiba Thang-Ta, Awang Khunou won the bronze medal

In the U-25 kg final, Konthoujam Sitlepia of Kanglei Thang-Ta Sindam Shang, Maklang defeated Kh Dulcinea Devi of Ibudhou Korouhanba Thang-Ta, Moidangpok to fetch the gold as M Chanjabi Chanu of Laiyingthou Kangba Thang-Ta, Kangmong settled for the bronze medal.
In the sub-junior girls, Phunaba Ani events, Laiyingthou Kangba Thang-Ta, Kangmong won three gold medals as Thoubal District Thang-Ta, Kakching Khunou and Universal Thang-Ta Academy, Wangoo bagged two gold medals apiece.
Claiming U-21 kg category gold medal in this event was Rinmachon Kasomwoshi of Haokok Thang-Ta Academy, Hungpung after she beat Moirangthem Purnima Devi of Ibudhou Korouhanba Thang-Ta, Moidangpok.
Loitongbam Ayingbi Devi of Laiyingthou Kangba Thang-Ta, Kangmong on the other hand sealed the bronze medal in this category.
Laishram Jina Devi of Thoubal District Thang-Ta, Kakching Khunou then bagged the gold medal for U-25 kg category beating Hijam Ishwariya of Ibudhou Korouhanba Thang-Ta, Moidangpok in the final.
Moirangthem Tombi Chanu of Universal Thang-Ta Academy, Wangoo won the U-29 kg category gold medal beating K Suniti Sharma of Thoubal District Thang-Ta, Kakching Khunou while Saikhom Lingjethoi of Thang-Ta Maheikol, Yumnam Huidrom bagged the bronze medal.
In the U-33 kg final, N Pushpa Chanu of Thoubal District Thang-Ta, Kakching Khunou overcame M Ayingbi Chanu of Laiyingthou Kangba Thang-Ta, Kangmong to win the top honour.
Phamdom Liklai Chanu of Institute of Langol Punsiba Thang-Ta, Iroishemba finished third in the category to finish with the bronze medal.
P Asharani Devi of Laiyingthou Kangba Thang-Ta, Kangmong earned the unit first gold medal for U-37 kg event of the category by beating L Rima Chanu of Thoubal District Thang-Ta, Kakching Khunou in the final today.
O Hemapati Devi of Thang-Ta Maheikol, Yumnam Huidrom on the other hand bagged the bronze medal.
Th.Lembisana Devi of Ibudhou Korouhanba Thang-Ta, Moidangpok earned the unit a gold medal as she beat L Priscilla Devi of Universal Thang-Ta Academy, Wangoo in the U-41 kg category final while K Nicol Devi of Thoibi Thang-Ta, Moirang won the bronze medal.
In the U-45 kg final M Rosida Devi of Laiyingthou Kangba Thang-Ta, Kangmong defeated M Thajamanbi of Ibudhou Korouhanba Thang-Ta, Moidangpok to win the gold as M Sunibem Chanu of Universal Thang-Ta Academy, Wangoo won the bronze.
The U-49 kg title, in the meantime, went to Bembem Maisnam of Laiyingthou Kangba Thang-Ta, Kangmong after beating L Silvia Chanu of Universal Thang-Ta Academy, Wangoo in the final.
Monika Thangjam of Ibudhou Korouhanba Thang-Ta, Moidangpok was able to win the bronze medal in the said category.
N Alina Devi of Universal Thang-Ta Academy, Wangoo earned the second gold medal today beating H Victoria Devi of Institute of Langol Punsiba Thang-Ta, Iroishemba in the U-53 kg final bout.
Winning the +53 kg title of the sub-junior girls Phunaba Ani event was L Alichia Devi of Kangleipak Royal Thang-Ta, Sagolband as she defeated S Ronika Chanu of Universal Thang-Ta Academy, Wangoo in the final.
H Rambha Devi of Institute of Langol Pusiba Thang-Ta, Iroishemba was able to secure the bronze medal in the said weight category.
