Accused in Lamphel stabbing case charge-sheeted

Investigating officer (IO) of the November 17 incident that took place at Lamphel super market has submitted charge-sheet to the court and the same court approved framing charges against Nelson Nameirakpam, who attempted to murder one of his friends by stabbing.
As per the charge-sheet submitted to the court by the IO, Nelson attempted to kill his friend Roshan by stabbing on November 17 at Lamphel super market and Nelson was arrested by police the next day.
As per his disclosure, police recovered one cutter used in the incident.
During hearing of the case, additional PP placed before the court that there is enough evidence to frame charges under IPC section 326/307/201 against the accused and the victim was injured in the incident as the accused attacked him using a sharp cutter.
The accused also turned off CCTV installed near the place of incident; the additional PP added.
After careful study of the reports, the court said that there is enough evidence to frame charges against Nelson under IPC section 326/307 but discharged from section 201 for lack of evidence.
The court then ordered to frame charges under IPC section 326/307 against Nelson.
