MLA Indrajit begins poll campaign in Muslim areas

Kshetrigao MLA Nahakpam Indrajit has announced that Yangbi Muslim village in the constituency would be adopted as a model village if he is elected again in the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election to be held in early part of 2022.Indrajit conducted house-to-house election campaign at Yangbi Muslim village in connection with the upcoming election and hoisted BJP flags while the villagers accorded him a warm reception on Tuesday.
It was the first day of his series of election campaign to be conducted in all 16 polling stations covering Muslim community of Kshetrigao AC.
The campaign continued at Yangbi village on Wednesday with reception of MLA's supporters and newly joined workers.
Addressing the gathering, Indrajit said that he had done many welfare activities for Muslim community since becoming representative of people of the constituency and one clear example is construction of the Masjid at Kshetri Bengoon Mamang which is about to complete.
He also informed that equal treatment is being given to all the communities settling in Kshetrigao assembly constituency and maintained that hectic works are going on to provide CMHT and widow pension cards to those who are yet to get these cards.
Expressing displeasure over election campaign done through the social media by some intending candidates by uploading photos and videos, Indrajit appealed to people of Kshetrigao to teach befitting lesson to those who did nothing for the people during COVID-19 pandemic but has come out to contest election.
During the function, MLA Indrajit also distributed CMHT, labour and widow pension cards and hearing aids to beneficiaries.
