JTSA seeks solution, warns of stir

Demanding the government to resolve the row regarding the plot of land for construction of National Sports University (NSU) within four days, Joint Tribal Students' Association (JTSA) has warned of launching a series of agitation if the government tails to address the same.
Addressing a press meet at Manipur Press Club here on Wednesday, JTSA convener Daichui said that the association welcomes construction of the NSU as it will bring development in the field of sports as well as other sectors.
However, the government should resolve the row over the plot of land where the university is being set up, he said.
The association had talked with the government two-three times with last meeting held on February 25.During the meeting, it was agreed that the land plot for NSU belongs to Konsakhul and a verbal agreement was made to resolve the matter within the month of March.
However, the government is remaining silent in this regard till date.
Daichui then demanded the government to bring an everlasting solution by inviting all parties within four days failing which JTSA will launch total shutdown of national projects and highway blockade among other forms of protest.
