Imphal, December 01 2021:
The Joint Tribe Students' Association (JTSA) has cautioned of shutting down all National projects apart from imposing bandh on the National Highways if the Government fails to start dialogue for resolving the land ownership issue pertaining to the construction National Sports University with all stakeholders within four days.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, JTSA convenor Daichui reminded that the Government had convened a few meetings to resolve the issue in the presence of Ministers, MLAs, DC, SP and stakeholders, but no tangible solution has been brought till date.
Saying that the people want a permanent solution to the issue, Daichui urged the Government to invite all stakeholders for a talk and bring the issue to a close at the earliest.
"We would be compelled to shutdown National pro-jects and impose bandh on the highways if the demand is not entertained," he said.
