BJP Govt development-oriented: N Biren

A one-day political conference in connection with the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election was held on Wednesday at Kumbi Kangjeibung.
In his speech at the con ference, chief minister Biren asserted that BJP government does not speak lies but delivers with action and there is no political party other than BJP which could bring development in Manipur.
Asking as to which party ruled for 70 years of the 75 years since independence, N Biren said that BJP government is working hard to improve roads and bridges and provide safe drinking water and better health care facilities to the people, which could not be delivered by the party which governed for 70 years.
It is for the benefit of people that representatives are elected and not for benefit of the representatives, Biren said and appealed to people to confer power to BJP so that people could live in peace.
He also informed the gathering that Rs 3 crore has been earmarked for development of three roads in Kumbi assembly constituency and preparation has been made to open a nationalised bank in Kumbi but is looking for building at suitable location.
While assuring of converting into action the demand of upgrading the PHC to CHC, N Biren said wrong selection of representative by the people could be reason of underdevelopment in Kumbi AC.
The political conference organised by BJP Kumbi Mandal was attended by chief minister N Biren, Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba, works minister Th Biswajit, education minister N Rajen, Oinam MLA L Radhakishore, Moirang MLA P Sharatchandra, BJP Bishnupur District president RK Bimola, BJP Kumbi Mandal president Angousana and Kumbi AC BJP intending candidates N Mangi, Premchandra and Sanjoy as presidium members.
Office bearers of BJP Manipur Pradesh and district unit also attended the political conference.
BJP Bishnupur Mandal also organised a political meeting at Bishnupur Thiyam Leikai under Bishnupur AC Wednesday.
