Senapati, December 01 2021:
An Agri link road that passes through Ziumi village in Senapati district has been rejuvenated with the help of MLA and former minister of Tribal Affairs & Hills N Kayisii.
The road had been left unattended for around 10 years.
According to report, Ndenroiki to Nbiuki (Barak River) road covering about 4-5 km was repaired by the former minister.
The IVR connects paddy field, Barak River and neighbouring villages like Kangjang and Chakha in Senapati district.
Landslides and mudslides had blocked the said road in the past as reported by the villagers.
Mention may be made that the former minister and present MLA of Tadubi Assembly Constituency had earlier constructed an IVR, and a Cultural Hall which is being constructed at the village under different government schemes is on the verge of completion.
The neighbouring villages of Upper Zeliang were also reported to have benefitted from different government schemes in the past.
