Discourse on welfare schemes marks Good Governance Week

SENAPATI: As part of the Good Governance Week, the district administration of Senapati organised a one day workshop to highlight various good practices/implementation of various government programmes at DRDA conference hall, here on Friday.
Senapati DC Mahesh Chaudhari, divisional forest officer and all SDOs of the district attended the workshop wherein departments like forest, agriculture, social welfare and ICDS, NIC, education, medical, DRDA, etc., gave powerpoint presentations on good practices of their respective departments.
The DLOs highlighted the positive impact of government initiatives like Van Dhan Yojna, School Fagathansi Mission, Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM), District Mobile Medical Unit, e-office, e-services, Anganwadi, etc.
Anganwadi workers, some village chairmen/ secretaries also attended the workshop.
KAKCHING: The district administration organised a workshop on good governance practices/initiatives taken up in Kakching district during the last five years at the deputy commissioner's office complex.
The function was attended by S Kunjabihari Singh (retired IAS) as chief guest.
In a powerpoint presentation, chief medical officer Dr Th Rajen reported the district health department's measures against Covid-19 and successful vaccination of 94289 people, which made the Kakching district secure first position.
ZEO (Kakching) Y Achouba Singh highlighted the healthy students' enrolment in government schools with the introduction of School Fagathansi Mission, while CAF & PD department highlighted successful implementation of various schemes like National Food Security Act (NFSA), Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY), One Nation One Ration Card (ONRC) and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) in the district.
Meanwhile, the district has built 595 pucca houses, out of total target of 2159 under PMAY-G and the remaining incomplete houses will be completed as soon as fund is released by the central government, according to RD & PR Department.
The day's function was attended by district level officers, official and staff of DC office and staff of SDO, SDC Kakching.
CHURACHANDPUR: District Level Dissemination Workshop was held on Friday at DC's conference hall, Mini-Secretariat, Tuibong as a part of Good Governance Week, 2022.The workshop was organised by the district administration of Churachandpur.
Former deputy commissioner Lunminthang Haokip attended the workshop as chief guest in the presence of the incumbent DC Sharath Chandra Arroju, ADC/Ccpur Thienlaljoy Gangte and ADC/Mualnuam Khaikhopau Ngaihte, among others.
The chief guest in his speech stressed the importance of exploring various ways for the government to strengthen public confidence in its administration.
Participants were sensitized on various good governance perimeters such as effectiveness and efficiency, responsiveness, accountability, transparency, equitability and inclusiveness through presentations by different departments.
All sub-divisional officers and district level officers attended the workshop.
BISHNUPUR: The district administration on Friday organised "Workshop on Good Governance Practices" at the conference hall of DC office.
Former DC Norbert Disinang was the chief guest of the workshop attended by SDOs, DLOs and college teachers of the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Norbert Disinang explained that good governance is all about devoting time to the people at all times and meeting their needs at the right place and time.
In his welcome address, present deputy commissioner Lourembam Bikram said that imposing decisions on the public is passe while stressing on the importance of people's participation right from the planning phase.
During the workshop, Nambol SDO Renuka Khumukcham gave a brief presentation on good governance practices in the sphere of e-services in the district.
She informed that e-services have eased access to services and also ensure speedy and transparent service delivery.
AC to DC Ejaj Hasssan and Dr L Raichandra Singh also outlined good governance initiatives of the district administration on Meeyamgi Numit and health sector respectively.
Short video clips produced by the district administration were also screened during the workshop.
PHERZAWL: As part of Good Governance Week 2022, a district level dissemination workshop on the theme 'Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur' was organised by the district administration at its camp office in Tuibong on Friday.
Pherzawl SP A Ghanashyam Sharma, ADC Ch Sachi, SDO (Tipaimukh) I Dine-shkumar and other DLOs led by DC Haulianlal Guite attended the workshop.
During his speech, Haulianlal encouraged all his DLOs to dispose files within 24 hours, explaining that government files are not like research papers that need to be studied thoroughly.
He added that speedy delivery of services is an indirect response against corruption.
Advising all DLOs to be mindful of visitors, the DC further pointed out the importance of gaining public confidence and also in providing maximum satisfaction to the people in government administration.
As part of the event, various good governance initiatives were presented by departments such as forest department, health, education, DRDA, revenue and CMHT/PMJAY.
KAMJONG: A workshop on Good Governance Practices/Initiatives was at Kamjong DC camp office on Friday.
Organised by the district administration, the workshop is part of the week-long nationwide campaign of 'Sushasan Saptah-Prashasan Gaon ki Aur 2022' .
Kamjong DC Rangnamei Rang Peter, SP Polem Manjit, CEO, SDOs and all district level officers of the various government departments in the district attended the programme.
In his address, Rangnamei stated that the most important aspects of good governance are transparency, accountability and deliverance.
He also appealed to all government officials/employees to not fall into corrupt practices as 'non-corruption' is the best sign of good governance.
Later, powerpoint presentations highlighting the various services, achievements and comparative analysis since recent years were presented by Kamjong PHED, CMO and One Stop Centre (OSC) .
Executive engineer of PHED Chamdanlung highlighted that 71.21 per cent of the total number of households in the district have been connected with FHTC (functional household tap connection) under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and National Development Bank (NDB) projects.
CMO Dr Lucy Duidang also high lighted the various services and duties carried out by the office, and stressed on the exceptional services carried out under CMHT/CMHA schemes, PMJAY, certification of differently-abled persons with UDID, etc., among many others.
OSC Co-ordinator Chanchuila highlighted how the centre is playing a pivotal role in helping those distressed women and young girls of the district by providing counselling, security and shelter.
A short film based on the activities of OSC Kamjong was also screened as a part of the workshop.
