Dr S Ranjan stresses on need to inculcate strong listening power among students

Health and IPR Minister Dr S Ranjan Singh has expressed that students should have strong listening power and all should inculcate the habit of listening to imbibe quality knowledge lessons.
The Minister made the above statement while speaking as the chief guest on the occasion of annual day celebration of Comet School, Changangei in Imphal West district today.
He said that during the 12 years journey of the school the school has produced a number of talented students.
Stating that the State is no longer dependent on others for human resources, he said that the State is also spreading its human resources all over the country and abroad.
Dr S Ranjan further maintained that due to COVID-19 pandemic there had been a recess of two years on celebrations and gatherings.
There are reports of an increase of COVID cases in some of the countries recently therefore, the Ministry of Health has instructed the State Health Departments concerned to take up precautionary measures to control the outbreak.
'It is fortunate that the State holds the record of 0% of COVID active cases.
But we should not be complacent in the report.
We should work on preventive measures', he added.
He opined that one should learn from failures instead of losing heart.
Emphasizing on exemplary personalities who had proved themselves by achieving their ambitions, he appealed to follow their works and lifestyles and stressed on the need to nurture and exhibit one's innate talents.
The Minister also distributed mementos and certificates to the meritorious students of Comet School as a part of the occasion.
He also published the school Magazine.
Principal Comet School, Kh Ibocha Singh; Professor N Rajmohon Singh, Vice Chancellor of DM University and Irom Umakanta Singh, MD, Comet School also graced the occasion as the presidium members among others.
