No room for complacency: Dr Ranjan on Covid 'surge'

Health minister Dr S Ranjan Singh has said that it is fortunate that the state holds the record of zero per cent of Covid-19 active case, but people should not be complacent based on the report.
"We should work on preventive measures," he stressed.
Speaking as chief guest of the annual day celebration of Comet School, Changangei Ghari on Friday, minister Dr S Ranjan cautioned that there are reports of surge in Covid-19 cases in some of the countries of late.
The Union Ministry of Health has also instructed the state health departments concerned to take up precautionary measures to control the outbreak, he added.
Dr S Ranjan also mentioned that students should have strong listening power since listening is a good quality of an individual.
"Without listening to others, one cannot learn good lessons.
We all should cultivate the habit of listening".
The minister continued that during the 12 years journey of the school it has produced a lot of talented students.
The human resource of the state is no longer dependent on others.
The state is also spreading its human resources all over the country and abroad, he added.
He suggested that one should learn from failures instead of losing heart.
There had been exemplary personalities who had proved themselves by achieving their ambitions.
"We should learn from their works and lifestyles.
Everybody has talents but we need to nurture and exhibit the talents," he opined.
The minister also distributed mementos and certificates to meritorious students of Comet School as a part of the function along with releasing the school magazine.
The function was also attended by Comet School principal Kh Ibocha Singh, MD Irom Umakanta Singh, directors S Samarjit Singh & Shashikanta Heikrujam, DM University VC Prof N Rajmuhon Singh and Y Tejkumar Singh as president, guests of honour and chief host respectively.
