He solicited the same kind of public support in the coming elections, too, while stating that he still has development vision for construction of road from St Joseph College to Pfusero via Paorei village; Kharasom-Layi-Tadubi road in the north; another road to connect with Senapati district in the west and also the proposed Shangshak-Tengnoupal road which are under process.

"I request you to re-elect Vashum because new faces can't bring the development that the people want.
If you elect a fresh MLA, your situation will remain unchanged; rather it will go from bad to worse," he cautioned.
In the same vein, Dr Chotisuh Sazo urged the gathering to re-elect the party candidate in Chingai AC as NPF is the only political party that can salvage the future of the tribals and the Naga.
Swu continued that over the years, the party has been able to establish an emotional connection among the Nagas in the Northeast region.
