'Incidents unseen in other places happening in Manipur'

Meghalaya chief minister and NPP national president Conrad K Sangma has said that unwanted election related incidents and issues which are unseen or unheard of in other parts of the country are happening in Manipur.
Conrad made this remark during a political conference of NPP held at the Ukhongsang Mayai Leikai residence of party's candidate for Heirok AC seat N Diten on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, Conrad said that NPP is going together with the people of the North East and Manipur on any issue or incident and only NPP could protect and safeguard people of the region.
Till date, NPP has been at the forefront of any issue concerning people of North East and Manipur.
NPP trust youth of the region and hence youth of Manipur should think deeply and support the party in the upcoming election, he said, adding that NPP could become the single largest party in the upcoming election with the help and support of the people.
NPP candidate N Diten, in his speech, said that Heirok AC was once an enviable place for rest of the people in the state but people of the AC are now fearful of venturing out from home after dusk.
He also said that he decided to contest election to promote love and understanding between mothers and sons and among brothers in Heirok AC.
The political conference was also attended by deputy CM Yumnam Joykumar, Meghalaya deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong and functionaries of NPP Heirok Kendra
and polling booths.
