JAC demands apology

JAC against the death of L Ajit has demanded apology from the JNIMS doctor who rammed on Laishram Ajit of Kwakeithel and the one who allegedly is responsible for negligence in treating Ajit resulting to his death.
Speaking to media persons today at Manipur Press Club, Thongam Kombirei, convener of 'JAC against the brutal murder of Ajit due to gross driving and medical negligence by two doctors of JNIMS' said Laishram Ajit (53) of Kwakeithel Thounaojam Leikai, who was driving an Alto car, was hit by a Santro car near the old Assembly complex on Aug 21 .
The Santro car was driven by one Ayaam Sylvia, a doctor at JNIMS, he said.
The driver left the place after the incident.
Seeing the condition of Ajit, who sustained severe head injury, auto-rickshaw drivers rushed him to JNIMS, the JAC convener said.
He was attended by Dr Ibomcha.
The injured man was discharged the same day around 7 pm after administering 5/6 stitches on his head.
Ajit was rushed to RIMS hospital on Aug 23.He was referred to Shija Hospital.
He succumbed to injuries on Sept 13.The body is kept at Shija hospital morgue.
The JAC said the body will not be claimed unless the two doctors of JNIMS tendered apology for their alleged negligence within two days.
