Mega Food Park in Manipur soon: Sadhvi

Union Minister of State for Food Processing & Industries Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti on Monday said a Mega Food Park will be established in Manipur soon.
The Centre is ready to release the required fund for the proposed Mega Food Park, Sadhvi told a press meet at the State BJP office, Nityaipak.
The Union Minister accompanied by BJP Manipur Pradesh in-charge MP Prahlad Patel arrived in Imphal at around 10 am.
Shortly after her arrival, Sadhvi visited the Food Park at Nilakuthi in Imphal East.
Later in the afternoon, the Union Minister also met the State Governor, Chief Minister and top Government officials and discussed about the various development projects taken up in Manipur.
She was welcomed by State BJP President Th Chaoba and party workers at the BJP office.
Sadhvi said MUDRA will be introduced in Manipur to provide loans to unemployed youths and small entrepreneurs including women under three different categories.
The first category credit starts from Rs 5,000 and the maximum loan amount is up to Rs 50,000 and from Rs 10,000 to 1 lakh in the second category.
For the third category, the amount starts from Rs 1 lakh and will be given up to Rs 5 lakh, she said.
No guarantors are required in getting these loans, but details are needed for seeking this credit, Sadhvi said.
She added that banks will help in providing these loans.
The Union Minister further said the Manipur Government has to provide land for the proposed Mega Food Park.
The Centre will take up necessary steps to sanction the required amount for the proposed mega food park, she said.
She said that the Centre is also planning to establish skill development training centres in 13 States.
Sadhvi added that there is also a plan to set up 26 units at the Food Park at Nilakuthi.
The Union Minister left Imphal for New Delhi in the late afternoon.
