Land for food park assured

The State Government has assured to provide required land for the establishment of a mega food park in the State, said Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries during an interaction with media persons at BJP State office conference hall today afternoon.
Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and BJP National Executive member and In-charge Manipur Pradesh, Prahlad Singh Patel, MP today arrived here for a one day visit to the State.
State BJP leaders and workers accorded a warm welcome to the Union Minister and the BJP MP at Imphal Tulihal International Airport.
Soon after their arrival, the two dignitaries went to inspect the Food Park at Nilakuthi.
The Union Minister also held a meeting with high ranking State Government officials at Old Secretariat.
Speaking to media persons at BJP office, Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti said that both the electronic and print media play a vital role in disseminating the policies and schemes taken up by the Govt.She said that youth and women who are capable of working in various businesses but were not able to establish their own business due to financial problems can avail benefits under Mudra Yojana, recently launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
MUDRA Bank has classified the borrowers into three segments�the starters, the mid-stage finance seekers and the next level growth seekers, she said.
In the first stage, loans upto Rs 50,000 will be provided to small entrepreneurs.
The second stage covers loans from Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh while the third stage covers loans above Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti said.
As the first priority, loans will be given to farmers, labourers and workers, she said.
Unlike other previous schemes, loanees under the newly launched Mudra Yojana need not produce any guarantors or any security deposit but the loanee must provide the detailed purpose of availing the loan amount, conveyed Niranjan Jyoti.
She also said the loan will be provided through all the Nationalised and State Banks.
The distribution and verification of loanees will begin from September 25 and go on till October 5, she said.
She also said that if any of the loanee is rejected by any bank, the bank concerned has to provide the reason for rejecting the loan amount, she added.
Jyoti also said that the Narendra Modi led Government at the Centre has established skill development training centres in 13 different States of the country and the skill development training centres will impart training on 30 different types of skill development works.
Acknowledging that people of the State have lots of potential in skill development, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti said she had held rounds of talks with Ministers concerned and other State Govt officials towards tapping resources in this regard.
She also said during her one day visit to Manipur she came to learn that only two units at Nilakuthi Food Park are working properly and assured to provide all the requisite infrastructure for the proper functioning of all units of the food park.
The Minister further said she had a meeting with the Minister concerned of the State for the establishment of a mega food park in Manipur.
The State authorities have reportedly assured the Minister to acquire required land for the establishment of the mega food park.
Before leaving Imphal, the two Central leaders addressed a large number of BJP workers and leaders.
Later at around 3 pm both the Union Minister and MP left Imphal in an Indian Airlines flight.
