DYF extends full support to JFD's campaign for fair delimitation

Imphal, August 17 2026: The Democratic Youth Front (DYF), a constituent body of the Democratic People's Front (DPF) Manipur, has announced full support to the ongoing campaign of the Campaign for Just and Fair Delimitation (JFD) Student Wing.

DYF president Konsam Premjit Singh made the announcement during a press meet at the party office today.

He said DYF also demands the early conduct of NRC, detection and deportation of illegal immigrants, and an error-free census.

He alleged that the BJP-led Government is working against the will of the people by pushing ahead with the census amid the ongoing crisis.

The DYF submitted two key demands to the government: Conduct NRC and detect illegal immigrants before carrying out the census; Take legal action against DSP Dhiraj for the alleged manhandling of women during the recent protest near the Directorate of Census Office.

Premjit further appealed to all Government associations, federations and groups in Manipur to morally and physically support JFD's movement.

He stressed that safeguarding the State by implementing NRC and detecting illegal immigrants is not the responsibility of any one group, but a duty of all citizens including Government employees.

He added that DYF will also extend political support to JFD's ongoing agitation.
