The Joint Action Committee Sadar Hills has appreciated Chief Minister of Mizoram, Nagaland and ex-Lok Sabha Speaker PA Sangma today for their concern and support to Manipur tribals.
Spokesperson of JAC Sadar Hills, Lamcha Chongloi said that JAC Sadar Hills duly acknowledged the moral, emotional and the fearless act and support of Lalthanhawla, Chief Minister of Mizoram and TR Zeliang, Chief Minister of Nagaland to the tribal people of Manipur who are reeling experiencing tumultuous phase.
He continued that the two leaders daringly championed and defended the cause of Manipur tribal who faced discrimination from the majority community of the State to India's Prime Minister and strongly recommended not to give assent to the recently passed bills by the Manipur State Assembly.
"We cherish the encouragement and support as well as the daring act of the two leaders for the tribal people of Manipur which will definitely lead to positive change", Lamcha added.
The JAC Sadar Hills also expressed gratitude to ex-Lok Sabha Speaker PA Sangma who assured to donate Rs 10 lakh for the affected families of the recent floods and landslide in Churachandpur district.
"His generosity is not just about the money, it's about the emotion and the strength he has given to the affected families", lauded JAC Sadar Hills Spokesperson.
He said that the ex-Lok Sabha Speaker dedication and willingness to help the tribal people is indeed a matter of immense satisfaction.
Meanwhile, the JAC Sadar Hills also condemned and opposed the three anti-tribal Bills recently passed by the State Assembly and warned of launching various forms of agitation in Sadar Hills very soon.
The JAC Sadar Hills once again shared the pain and suffering of the victims who were inflicted injuries during the protest against the anti-tribal bills passed by the Manipur Assembly in the State Assembly on August 31 and Sept 1 while condoling the tribal martyrs.
