Leesana Foundation continues to stretch out hand to needy

Leesana Foundation on Monday reached out to the destitute children and women at Swadhar Shelter run by Environment & Economic Management (EEMA) in Keikhu Kabui village in Imphal East.
Various edible items were distributed to the inmates of the Home by Leesana Foundation in fond memory of late Soubam Leesana of Sega Road Konjeng Hajari Leikai in Imphal West.
The youth died in a car accident near Maibam Lotpa Ching along the Tiddim Road on March 21 this year.
Leesana also lovingly called Rison by his parents was always ready to stretch out his helping hand to the people and that he was indeed a philanthropist, said Leesana Foundation president Soubam Anilkumar.

He said Leesana always wanted to donate his time and money to charitable institutions for the causes they stood for and that he never tried to sideline the needy during his life time.
The foundation will continue to extend help to children, the aged and homes for the destitute in memory of Leesana, Anil added.
He also said the foundation has an objective to initiate various activities based on Leesana's line of thinking in an effort to bring about welfare for the society.
EEMA Secretary S Radhapyari lauded Leesana Foundation for extending a helping hand by donating edible items to the inmates of the Home.
She regretted that the Home often faces inconveniences as fund at times reaches very late and that the Leesana Foundation's tangible aid came at an opportune hour.
Radhapyari also prayed to God so that Leesana's soul rest in peace in his heavenly abode.
Hueiyen Lanpao columnist Soibamcha Indrakumar, who was also present during the aid distribution function, stated that one's superior calibre is known by people after death.
"Similarly, now we have come to know what Leesana actually wanted to do in his life.
I think Leesana Foundation wants to fulfill his desire," he added.
He further said that the foundation will be urged to produce a short film or documentary film on the life of Leesana.
The foundation has been helping many destitute and shelter Homes in the State since he passed away six months ago.
