Daily TPR dips to 4 pc, 49 new cases reported

Imphal, February 20 2022:
Though the dead count was 4 in the last 24 hours for the second successive day today, the daily positivity rate fell below the 5 percent mark after days.
A total of 49 new cases were detected while testing a total sample of 1240 today to see the daily positivity rate dip to 4 percent, the lowest in many days.
Despite the low count of fresh cases, the State reported 4 deaths in the last 24 hours to take the total figure of deaths to 2100 .
The four deceased persons were from Imphal East (2), Imphal West (1) and Churachandpur (1).While three of them were not vaccinated the other was fully vaccinated (second dose).
All the 4 deceased persons had co-morbidities.
The 49 positive cases were detected at RIMS (5) and other testing centres (44) .
The 49 persons who tested positive are from Imphal East (9), Imphal West (21), Thoubal (2), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (1), Tamenglong (4), Tengnoupal (1), Ukhrul (3), Noney (1) and Churachandpur (4) .
With 49 more the cumulative figure of positive cases in the State has risen to 1,36,433 inclusive of 5001 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 659 .
On the other hand 69 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours from home isolation (45), RIMS (9), JNIMS (3) and CCCs (12). With 69 more discharged the cumulative number of recovered persons is 1,33,674 inclusive of 4974 Central security personnel.
The recovery rate is now 97.98 percent.
The number of Covid dosage administered on February 19 is 5792, said the COVID-19 Common Control Room and added that cumulative dosage administered so far is 26,67,314 including 11,13,550 second dose and 55,426 precautionary dose.
On February 19 a total of 336 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 85 B Type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres across the State.
