Imphal, October 31 2023:
Ganningam Malangmei poured in as many as 5 goals to set up CFA a 11-2 win ended Juvenile Club's fifth game winning streak in the 3rd Col Ksh Arunkumar Memorial Futsal Tournament.
CFA started strongly and went ahead three minutes into the game with Khongbantabam Abishek of Juvenile Club conceding an own goal before Ganningam doubled the advantage in the next minute.
Ganningam had his second in the 12th minute before contributing three goals in the second half ( 27', 30', 34') .
Yumnam Banty (23'), Ningthoujam Renedy (31'), Sorokhaibam Robert Singh (37') and Chuingampou Kamei (39') also added a goal each to CFA's tally in this one sided match which also saw Ningthoujam Sushil of Juvenile Club concede another own goal in the 38th minute.
Moirangthem Nelson (7') and Maisnam Biken Meitei (38') were the scorers for the losing team.
Earlier in the day, Regular Football Coaching Center (RFCC) pulled off a 8-2 win over Balananda Football Academy (BFA) for the second win in 6 matches.
It was BFA's 6th straight loss in the 12 team tournament hosted by the All Manipur Football Association at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
Loukrakpam Rohit hit two goals back to back in the 18th and the 20th minutes in this match to give RFCC a 5-1 first half lead after Mutum Newton Singh (5'), Oinam Rahul Singh (6') and Haridas Yumnam (17') scored for first three goals.
After the break, Haridas Yumnam also hit his second goal in the 21st minute before Thiyam Robertson Singh (28') and Naorem Dhananjoy Singh (30') further extended the lead to 8-1 .
Amom Krish Singh also scored another goal for BFA in the 31st minute to make the final scoreline read 2-8 .
Later in the day, Sang-gai Football School (SFS) thrashed Naoton Football Academy (NFA) 9-3 for the 6th straight victory courtesy trebles from Md Musharaf (17', 24', 32') and Kambam Srinibas (22', 22', 40'), and a goal apiece from Laishram Sailesh (26') and Paringanba Yengkhom (38') .
For NFA, Laishram Boboy (30'), Paliba Laikhuram (10') and Thangjam Majaibungo (19') were on target.
