Imphal, October 31 2023:
The JAC formed against the killing of SDPO Chingtham Anand Kumar has demanded the Government to launch counter offensive operations and neutralise all Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists.
The JAC was constituted at a public meeting held at Kwakeithel Laishram Leikai this afternoon.
The meeting also resolved that the Government should register FIRs and arrest all those CSOs and student organisations who have been supporting the Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists.
The third resolution of the JAC said that the Government should announce that the violent crisis would be brought to an end at the earliest.
While doing so, the Government should announce the steps taken up so far, particularly at Moreh, Kangpokpi and Churachandpur.
If satisfactory steps are not taken up by November 5, sustained mass agitation would be launched including gheraoing of MLA/Ministers' residences, reads the fourth resolution.
Another resolution says that one family member of the martyred SDPO should be given a suitable Government before the Lanna Thouram ceremony.
The JAC said that they would claim the mortal remains of Anand Kumar as and when the Chief Minister makes an announcement to the media that positive actions have been taken up with regard to the resolutions adopted at today's public meeting.
