The Ramakrishna Mission, Babupara, Imphal has distributed two winter blankets each to the 183 displaced families residing at the newly built prefabricated temporary shelter homes at Mandop Yumpham Inter State Truck Terminus Complex, Imphal West today.
As per a statement issued by Swami Devapriyananda, secretary, a total of 366 winter blankets were distributed.
Moreover, 2 packs of Mother's Plus Horlicks each were distributed to all expectant mothers staying in the camp.
In addition, stationery items were also given to the students.
Ramakrishna Mission, Babupara, Imphal also distributed blankets, health & hygiene kits, Mother's Horlicks, infant milk etc to the families taking shelter at Awang Leikenthabi relief camp under Lamsang A/C, and SC Boys' Hostel, Sardar Patel High School, Khurkhul Makha Leikai, Imphal West.
Recently, on October 29, relief items were provided to more than 100 internally displaced families staying in the relief camps at Sunusiphai Upper Primary School and Phubala High School, Bishnupur District.
Altogether, in the month of October, the Mission has distributed more than 6000 winter blankets and 2000 health & hygiene kits, stationery items, supplements for expectant mothers and infants and several other necessary items worth more than Rs 36 lakhs at 69 relief camps, sheltering more than 10,500 people from 3257 families in Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Kakching and Bishnupur districts.
