Kakching, October 31 2023: Volunteers of Langsai Thouna along with members of All Sora Club Coordinating Committee (ASCCOC) nabbed a drug user who used to extort money using toy gun from commuters along Kakching Lamkhai to Minou and Kakching Lamkhai to Langol roads.

The nabbed man identified as Makakmayum Asif, 24 son of Makakmayum Khamba of Sora Ching Wangma was later handed over to Kakching police station.

According to a statement of Langsai Thouna, there have been numerous complaints about some miscreants extorting money from commuters along Kakching Lamkhai to Minou and Kakching Lamkhai to Langol roads not far from ongoing protest cum checking conducted by Langsai Thouna volunteers and people of Kakching.

On Tuesday at about 1pm, an unidentified person extorted money using toy gun from one Yaima Maring of Minou village.

Upon receiving the report, Langsai Thouna volunteers acted swiftly and conducted a thorough investigation and identified the extorter as Makakmayum Asif, a drug pusher from Sora.

Later, Langsai Thouna volunteers along with ASCCOC executive nabbed Asif and handed him over to Kakching police station in the presence of local elders.
