Thoubal DC notifies designated dates for Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll 2024

Thoubal, October 31 2023: A meeting of National and State political parties was convened today at Deputy Commissioner Thoubal conference hall in connection with the ongoing Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll 2024. The meeting was chaired by Thoubal DC Ahanthem Subhash, IAS.

Addressing media persons during a press meet held after the meeting, Thoubal DC who is also the District Election Officer said that the Draft Electoral Roll has been published on October 27 for the Special Summary Revision to be held in four phases on January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1, 2024 .

In view of the above, the process for addition, deletion and correction has been initiated and the Form 6 for the said purpose can be submitted to the respective Electoral Registration Officer (EROs) till November 9, he informed.

The DC went on to state that November 4 and 5 and December 2 and 3, 2023 has been designated as Special Campaign dates in connection with the above process and Polling Officers will be stationed at the polling stations to dispense and accept forms from the public.

The DC further informed that it was proposed during the meeting today that Booth Level Agents appointed by the political parties are present at the polling stations on the aforementioned dates.

Lastly, the DC appealed to all concerned mainly youths who will be attaining 18 years to avail the opportunities of the Special Summary Revision campaign to ensure that their names are added in the electoral roll.
