MSF celebrates 24th foundation day

Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) celebrated its '24th foundation day at its Kwakeithel Thounaojam Leikai office on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, MSF president Khangembam Bidyasagar affirmed to continue to be at the forefront with regard to different issues of Manipur so as to ensure the welfare of people and student community in particular.
As the next year will be the silver jubilee, MSF will intensify its activities in education sector for the betterment of Manipur, the president said, adding that it has been inspecting high schools and colleges in every nook and corner of the state as part of the academic campaign 'Eikhoi Lairik Ningthina Tamshi'.
During the course the campaign it came to light that there are many schools facing shortage of teachers in addition to complaints received about violation of rights of the students, he claimed.
While stating that MSF has been exerting pressure on authorities concerned for ensuring the rights of students, Bidyasagar urged authorities concerned to properly conduct rationalisation of teachers without indulging in corruption and nepotism.
The foundation day celebration was also attended by Manipur State Human Rights Commission former acting chairperson Khaidem Mani, MSF advisors Ngariyanbam Milan, Kh Serajuddin and O Ashinikumar Singh as presidium members.
