Rotary Club donates RO water purifier to RIMS

Imphal, October 13 2022:
Rotary Club of Imphal district governor Dr Kushanava Pavi and his wife Jaya Pavi, during their Imphal visit, donated one RO water purifier to RIMS on Sunday.
The water purifier was handed over during a function attended by RIMS medical superintendent Dr Sanjib Nepram, Rotary Club of Imphal assistant district governor Zone 12 Elendra Thoudam, club president Pramod Jaiswal, club members and senior officials of RIMS.
Later, Rotary Club of Imphal and Rotary Club of Imphal Polo City felicitated the DG and his wife in a function held at the office of the former at Mantripukhri.
The club also distributed prizes to winners of the 47th Rotary spot painting competition conducted earlier.
In Group A, Vikram Lourembam of Comprehensive School, Oinam; Lennyson Rajkumar of Ushus School, Soibam Leikai; and Khumukcham Chaoremba of KV-1 Lamphel won the top three positions respectively.
Chanchala Kangabam of KV-1 Lamphel, Minerva Thoidingjam of KV-2 Langjing and Abujam Ranjan of Heirok Kabo Leikai Primary School won consolation prizes in the group.
Jiliana Thoidingjam and Sunaina Saikhom of KV-1 Lamphel, and Yaiphaba Ningthoujam of Wangkhei High School won the top three positions respectively in Group B.Khumukcham Angelina of KV-1 Lamphel; Wangkheimayum Heeyaileima of Mega Manipur School, Yaralpat; Thiyam Jesina of RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya, Pangei; and Pebam Ranibala of Brighter Academy, New Checkon won consolation prizes in the group.
Senator Okram Memorial Rotary Footballer of the Year was presented to Malemnganba Singh Thokchom.
Senior citizen and former family welfare director Dr N Kheroda and former MU VC professor H Tombi were also honoured on the occasion.
Two wheelchairs sponsored by Rotary Club of Polo City Imphal were also donated to Yengkhom Premahini of Charangpat and Mutum Amusana of Loitang Leikinthabi.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kushanava Pavi expressed elation that rotarians have been carrying out humanitarian services and urged club members to donate whatever they could to Rotary Foundation to help the foundation in taking up different projects.
