AR holds medical camp at Veitum Khullen village

Noney Battalion Assam Rifles of 22 Sector AR and IGAR (East) organised a free medical camp at Veitum Khullen village under the Company Operating Base, Kotlen.
The villagers who turned up for the camp were given free medical check-up and medicines after prescriptions by doctors.
The camp was conducted under the supervision of chief medical officer commandant Dr MS Matthew and assistant commandant Dr Joyshree Keisham of Noney Battalion, Dr Jina (general medicine), Dr Mascot (general surgery), Dr Chitralekha (dermatologist) and Dr Jangkhogin Kipgen (general medicine).
The camp commenced with an awareness programme on basic health care issues and ailments like blood pressure, diabetes, fever, eye infection, thyroid, skin diseases, cold, flus, respiratory illnesses, etc.
The camp also enlightened the locals on various guidelines and schemes like CM's Health for All Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, etc.
Supporting the noble cause, individuals like Lenpu Haokip, advisor of a local student organisation, and local private companies like Vensar Construction Company extended assistance in terms of free generic medicines and by distributing snacks to the people who had come to attend the camp.
A total of 315 civilians, including 123 females and 36 children, were given free treatment and free medicines as per availability.
