Management Committee warns of shutting down hospital

The Hospital Management Committee of Community Health Centre (CHC), Wangoo has appealed to the State Government to send the required number of nurses within 7 days and warned of shutting down the hospital in case of failure to comply with the demand.
Speaking to media persons, a Meira Paibi, Raj Kumari Leima stated that the shortage of nurses has caused a number of problems in the hospital.
Pointing out that only 2 nurses are currently stationed at the CHC, she urged the Government to send the required number of nurses within 7 days, failing which they would be compelled to shut down the hospital.
Meanwhile, Hospital Management Committee member, Thoudam Dhamen expressed his disappointment over the transfer of 3 nurses from the CHC recently despite the shortage of manpower.
He appealed to the Government and Health Department to look into the shortage of staff at the CHC and initiate necessary measures at the earliest.
