Club issues helpline number, relief camps set up

Kakching, May 11 2023:
In the wake of the violent clash that unfolded in the state resulting in loss of lives and properties while displacing thousands of in-nocent civilians, Bishnunaha Youth Federation, Yairipok (BYFY) has issued a helpline number (8812932429) urging displaced people to contact the same so as to arrange shelter facilities.
On Thursday, BYFY mem-bers and volunteers distrib-uted food items to over 70 displaced people taking ref-uge in different localities un-der the jurisdiction of BYFY.
On the other hand, a medical team led by MO in-charge of CHC Yairipok Dr Robinson under the aegis of Wangkhem MLA Keisham Meghachandra organised a free medical camp in a re-lief camp at Yairipok Bamon Leikai Khunou on Thursday.
Medicines were also provid-ed to the affected people.
Meanwhile, locals of Uchi-wa Nastao with support from MLA Dr Usham Deben dis-tributed relief materials to different relief camps located in Wabagai assembly constit-uency on Thursday.
The re-lief materials were acquired through crowd funding by residents of Uchiwa Nastao and with contribution from MLA Dr Deben.
Kakching MLA M Ramesh-� war along with DC Somorjit Salam in association with different clubs and organ-isations in Kakching area formed Peace Committee Kakching in a meeting held at the DC office complex on May 9.The committee distributed relief materials to around 150 displaced people staying in different camps in Kakching assembly constituency.
According to MLA Rameshwar the relief materials were distributed with relief fund provided by the state government.
Meanwhile, a new relief camp has been set up at Ka-kching Higher Secondary School by the Committee on Thursday.
