Aimol Tribe Union Manipur has appealed to all the communities of Manipur to stand together and shun violence to restore peace in the.
State.
In a release, Aimol Tribe Union Manipur, urged the people of Manipur to love one another and pursue peace while adding that violence & hatred only brings destruction.
Pointing out that Manipur belongs to all the communities, the union shared that there will be progress and development in the State only when all the communities love & live together in peace & harmony.
"Aimol is a peace loving indigenous community of Manipur.
We believe in living together, honoring and respecting all communities who have been staying here since long", it added.
Meanwhile, Association of Manipuri Diaspora (AMAND), Pune, yesterday organised a mass gathering for peace and harmony in Manipur at Aundh, Pune.
In a release, AMAND informed that the event was conducted to promote peace, unity & harmony among all the communities and express sympathy to the people afflicted by the recent violence.
The event was received well with heart-warming attendance from various communities.
The participants enthusiastically voiced in uni-son for immediate restoration of peace in Manipur.
AMAND vice president, Irom Jiten, expressed his gratitude to all the attendees for their unconditional support, understanding, spirit of unity, and mutual respect demonstrated during the event.
The gathering also offered their prayers by lighting candles and observing two-minute silence.
Recalling the close bond & ties between the indigenous, communities of the State, Meetei Marup, Meetei Leipak, Imphal has urged all the communities to set aside their differences, forgo past mistakes and show proper restraint to restore peace & normalcy in the State.
