Nachou relief camp bereft

Bishnupur, May 11 2023:
The relief camp opened at Nachou Govern-ment Junior High School for riot-affected people from Churachandpur district is bereft of basic amenities, according to a camp volun-teer named L Premjit Singh.
Informing that the camp opened on May 6 with 125 persons taking refuge pres-ently has 90 people, he re-counted that till date the government has provided two bags of rice, one bag of dal, 10 litres mustard oil, onions and few salt packets.
Meanwhile, relief items donated by various individ-uals and organisations were handed over to representa-tives of Apunba Tengbang Lup, a joint body of 12 wards of Bishnupur, on Wednes-day at Relief Control Centre opened at Bishnupur Awang Leikai Government Primary School and others.
On the other hand, a free medical camp was conduct-ed by a team of 15 doctors of RIMS and JNI MS, Imphal at various relief camps opened in areas under Moirang Mu-nicipal Council.
The camp was organised by National Medical Or-ganisation, Seva Bharati, Ima Pharmacy and Team Prithiviraj.
Similarly, a free medical camp was conducted by Chief Medical Officer, Bish-nupur at Ningthoukhong Sardar Patel High School relief camp.
