No separate administration, no rest: CSOs

The civil society organisations of Kangpokpi district on Thursday met with the interlocutor of the United People's Front (UPF) and the Kuki National Organisation (KNO), the conglomerate organisations of the Kuki militants under tripartite talks with the governments of Manipur and India in Kangpokpi district.
Thadou Youth Association, Sadar Hills president Thangpimang, on behalf of the civil society organisations said that in con-nection with the current Manipur unrest, we have met AK Mishra, the interlocutor on Thursday and conveyed our stance very loud and clear, which is "no separate political administration, no rest" .
As we have conveyed our stance clearly and loudly, we also appealed to the central government to consider our sentiment and materialise our clear-cut stance at the earliest, he asserted.
He further said "we will not compromise our stance with any other things.' The meeting was also attended by officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi, Kuki Students' Organisation Sadar Hills, Thadou Inpi Kang-pokpi district, Thadou Students' Association Sadar Hills, Thadou Youth Association Sadar Hills, Zillai, Gangte Students' Organsation, and leaders of other various civil bodies also attended the meeting.
