12th MANIPSYCON 2021 conducted

Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS), Manipur State Branch on Saturday organised the 12th annual conference of IPS Manipur State Branch MANIPSYCON 2021 at IMA hall, Lamphelpat.
The programme which was held under the theme The Role of Social Media on Tackling Challenges in Mental Health' was attended by DM University VC Prof N Rajmuhon, IPS MSB president Dr S Manikanta, vice president Prof K Shantibala, secretary Dr S Gojendro and other members.
Speaking on the occa sion, Prof N Rajmuhon praised the IPS MSB for the various activities it has taken up in the state.
The theme of the programme is very much relevant in present society, he said, and expressed hope that the deliberations at the conference will help the youth of the state and others.
As a part of the conference, Dr W Rebecca Devi spoke on the topic 'Social Media and Mental Health; A Psychological Perspective', Dr Asheema Haobijam on 'Social Media and Mental Health: Benefits and Risks' and Dr L Chingkheileima on 'Positive Impact of Social Media on Older Adults
and Senior' .
