NHACM seeks clarification

Imphal, September 14 2026: The Naga Humanitarian Aid Committee, Manipur (NHACM) has sought a clarification from AMUCO, PLMPAM, AMAWOVA, COHR and MSF regarding a particular statement of condemnation issued by the five CSOs some time back.

The NHACM has also requested for a better understanding of the reasons behind the condemnation issued by the five CSOs.

This action (condemnation) has caused deep concern and hurt the Naga community.

If the five CSOs do not clarify their position promptly, such actions may damage the trust and working relationship that are essential for cooperation, understanding and progress among indigenous communities, the NHACM said in a press release.

Urging the five CSOs to provide a clear and public clarification at the earliest opportunity, the NHACM said, "We believe that an open clarification in the press or media will contribute to mutual understanding and help maintain harmony" .

"We are prepared to submit a formal response and to participate in any discussion or mediation, if required", it added.
