Meeyamgi Numit for Imphal West district conducted

The 6th Meeyamgi Numit for Imphal West district was conducted at the DC Office Complex, Lamphelpat on Friday.
The monthly programme is an initiative of the present government to provide government services to the public in an efficient, effective and transparent manner and to mitigate their grievances.
According to Imphal West additional deputy commissioner K Jadumani Singh the latest edition of the Meeyamgi Numit had submission of 1027 applications with most of the issues disposed immediately by delivering the expected services like issuance of certificates, permits, verification of certificate, collection of land revenues etc., apart from distribution of knap sprayers, soil health cards, farmer cards, Covid vaccination, health check-up, detection of blood sugar, blood pressure and distribution of CMHT cards.
Complaints/queries related to MGN- REGS, issuance of 'Jamabandis', account opening in Banks, distribution of fire-extinguishers and medicals kits to schools, aids and appliances to differently abled students, services given by Legal Services Authority and applications related to old age pension, revenue, water connection, ration card and release of Covid ex-gratia were also received at the programme.
In all 40 cases were submitted for follow-up procedures by other offices/organisations or would require additional days for disposal, the additional DC informed, adding that the public who attended the Meeyamgi Numit were satisfied with the opportunity given to directly interact with all the district level officers including the private sector banks.
All the district levels officers including additional superintendent of police, divisional forest officers (DFO), chief executive officers (CEO), Zilla Parishad and sub divisional officers (SDOs) under the district participated the programme, the additional DC informed.
