Imphal, January 21 2023:
Announcing boycott of India's Republic Day celebrations in Manipur, the proscribed Coordination Committee (CorCom) has imposed an 18-hour total shutdown in Manipur with effect from midnight of January 25.Apart from appealing to the people to suspend all forms of works and stay at home on the day, the conglomerate of underground groups operating in Manipur also called upon the people to boycott India's Republic Day celebrations and stand united against India's occupation of the land.
The shutdown, however, will be exempted for emergency services like medicine, fire and religious ceremonies, a CorCom statement said.
According to the statement issued by its publicity committee, neo-colo-nialist India celebrates Republic Day on January 26 eveiy year but the people of Manipur should consider the day as 'Repressive Day'.
With more than 2000 years of written history, Manipur (Kangleipak) existed as a powerful independent nation.
However, In dia's Republic Day celebration not only highlights the strength of Indian Army to show that administration has been shifted from Whitehall in London to Red Fort in Delhi but also to expose that the long sovereign history of Kangleipak has been abolished and shifted the administration from Kangla to Delhi.
India's Republic Day is a march past parade led by Indian Repressive Army used in killing innocent civilians and suppressing WESEA people and not a programme to showcase plights of the poor or suppressed WESEA people, the CorCom said and appealed to people of Manipur not to join the celebration.
Though India claims to be a democratic republic country governed by elected representatives and not by monarch, in 2004, 24 percent of the members of the Lok Sabha, which is a part of the representative democracy, was involved in criminal cases.
Lok Sabha members with criminal cases increased from 24 percent in 2004 to 30 percent in 2009 and then to 34 percent in 2014 and to 43 percent in 2019.This rate of increase of criminal Lok Sabha members is more than the 'inflationary rate' of the country, the CorCom said, adding that there is no way a citizen of the country to become India's President (head of the state) without the support of political party.
India was 'Kingdom of Congress' for nearly 54 years and the present 'Kingdom of Sangh Parivar' seemingly ruled by some leaders as if monarch has been gradually converting their idea of Bharatvarsha into reality.
India conducted its first general election in 1951-52 when 83 percent of its citizens were illiterate and it also coincided with the UK election.
However, illiterate Indian voters during the time would have been very hard to understand what political parties and candidates had delivered to them and what a government is.
In fact, Indian Constitution was a product of colonial British constituted with the 'Cabinet Mission Plan' without conducting full election.
With the adoption of Indian Constitution on November 26, 1949 and implementation from January 26, 1950, India began to celebrate Republic Day.
Interestingly, India started amendment to its Constitution well before conducting first general election and forming democratic government.
For the first time, India hastily made first amendment to its Constitution by inserting 'reasonbale restriction' as a clause to Article 19 (Right to Freedom of Speech) .
Considering as hymns of Bhagavad Gita and Chanakya Neeti, 'Indian Repressive Government' utilises this 'reasonbale restriction' clause to control innocent people and general mass.
'Reasonbale restriction' clause in Article 19 and Article 365 that can remove political rights of the states shows that India is not a republic but a 'Repressive' country and accordingly people of Manipur should not take part in any programme of the repressive government, the CorCom statement reiterated.
