AKSDO, SSU post fourth victories in 7th MNCA Plate Tournament

AKSDO-Khangabok and SSU-Singjamei Kakwa sealed their fourth victories in the ongoing 7th MNCA Plate Tournament today.
At Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, AKSDO defeated KIYC by 112 runs for the fourth win in 6 Group A matches.
AKSDO won the toss and racked up 173 runs before they were bowled out by KIYC in 37.1 overs.
They however successfully defended their total by bowling out KIYC at 61 in 17.1 overs for the huge win.
Chinglensana Moirangthem made the highest contribution in AKSDO's tally hitting a half century (55 off 78) followed by Akash Laishram (29), Laishram Samson (14) and Sanayai Ningthoujam (14) .
Aneesh Ahmed (4/37), Md Abdul Hamid (3/35) and Md Abdulla Khan (2/27) of KIYC were in their best form rattling the AKSDO line up today but faltered in the chase as Laishram Nirash (4/18) and Sanayai Ningthoujam (3/9) and Akash Laishram (2/20) of AKSDO ran riot.
Md Kaosar (11) and Md Tamijur (10) were the only batters who managed double digit runs for KIYC in a lost cause.
Laishram Nirash of AKSDO who struck four wickets was adjudged man of the match.
Elsewhere at Model Hr Secondary School and Oriental College ground, SSU earned fourth Group B win in 5 matches by thrashing MPA Kakching by 242 runs.
Sent in to bat first, SSU rode on blistering knocks from Md Akip Hussain (49), Thangjam Somorjit (37), Dingku G (63) and Rupachandra (41) to stack up a huge total of 307 runs for all wickets down in 37.4 overs and bowled out MPA for 65 runs in 34.2 overs to seal the comfortable victory.
MPA's Aristotle (3/70), Bishal Das (3/51) and Nando Chongtham (2/21) made their statements by bowling in SSU's innings.
In reply, MPA started wobbly and succumbed at 65 as Saikhom Thongam (4/12) and Shamurailatpam Deepankar Sharma (4/18) wreaked through the order with four wicket hauls and Sougrakpam Douglas picked two wickets for 3 runs in 5.2 overs.
Saikhomba Thongam who picked 4 wickets and scored 29 runs was adjudged man of the match.
