TPR rises above 1 pc, six cases detected

Imphal, March 30 2022:
After reporting below 1 per cent daily test positivity rate for three consecutive days, the state on Wednesday reported 6 new positive cas es out of 532 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 1.13 per cent positivity rate against 0.18 per cent recorded on Tuesday.
No death cases were re ported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people, of which 61 had received second doses bf Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, 4 patients were discharged from home isolation (3) and CCCs (1) .
Number of active cases rose to 38 out of which 15 (39.47 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 297 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 178 in RIMS.
Out of the 16 districts, four reported fresh Covid cases on Wednesday.
So far, the state has recorded 11,305 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 310 new positive cases and 8 fatalities.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 36 and 0 respectively.
According to official reports, all the 6 fresh cases (4 male & 2 female) are from among the general population belonging to Imphal East (3), Imphal West (1), Churachandpur (1) and Kangpokpi (1).All necessary measures like containment and contact racing are in place.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,093 (general population - 132,079 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,34,935 (general population - 1,29,928 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 38 (general population - 38 and CAPF personnel - 0) .
The recovery rate is 98.43 per cent.
A total of 281 D-type and 97 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours while 2279 vaccine doses were administered on Tuesday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,37,558, out of which 11,80,952 had received second doses and 65,652 precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,706), Imphal East (30,422), Thoubal (10,148), Churachandpur (11,050), Kangpokpi (3129), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9826), Senapati (2491), Ukhrul (3270), Kakching (6888), Chandel (2716), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1199), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,181 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,653 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,16,009 tests per million population against the national average of 5,61,378 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, only 532 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 1.13 per cent while the cumulative rate stands at 8.56 per cent.
