Sub-Division Monitoring Mission launched

Imphal, March 30 2022:
To ensure that welfare and development activities of the government reach every nook and corner of the state properly, chief minister N Biren on Wednesday launched Sub-Division Development Monitoring Mission.
One each IAS, IFS, MCS and MFS officer has been appointed as Prabhari officer for the sub-divisions concerned under the mission and these Prabhari officers will not only look into development programmes in the respective sub divisions but also rectify developmental lacunae with the help of SDO, BDO and other development officials.
These officers will also identify and fix indicators for ranking programmes executed in the subdivisions.
Under the mission, Prabhari officers will also shoulder responsibility for ensuring self-sustenance of every household in the interior villages of the subdivision.
Under 'One division, one product' objective, Prabhari officers concerned will hold talks with villagers and identify needs of the villagers while textiles, commerce & industries department will extend technical and policy support to have the villagers in taking up income generating units.
A district level coordination team has also been formed under the mission and the team is being led by a secretary level officer as chairman and DCs concerned as vice-chairmen.
Prabhari officers, district level officers and SDOs will be members of the team.
