Imphal, July 28 2026: An academic discourse organi-sed by the Federation of Civil Society Organisations (FOCS) today took several resolutions to build trust between communities and promote peaceful coexistence.

The discourse on the topic "Political Upheaval in Manipur: Issues & Challenges" was held at MIMS conference hall, Manipur University.

FOCS acting president BM Yaima Shah, Senior Advocate Khaidem Mani, retired IAS officer RK Nimai, ARC Library and Archives Director Wangam Somorjit, MU Economics Professor Dr Hanjabam Isworchandra Sharma and Political Science Assistant Professor Dr Kangujam Sanatomba took part in the discourse.

At the end of the discourse, the gathering took several resolutions aimed at promoting peace including efforts to build trust and unity among communities and strengthen cooperation.

The discourse took resolutions to appeal for peace and coexistence to all the communities, and conduct a meeting in the future aimed at building unity among communities.
