Medical aid provided to snake bite victim

Imphal, March 30 2022:
Loktak Battalion of IGAR (S) extended lifesaving medical assistance to a snake bite victim of Saiton village in Churachandpur district on Wednesday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that a 42 years old person was bitten by a venomous snake and developed symptoms of mild fever, vomiting and headache.
The villagers rushed the individual to medical hospital of Assam Rifles located at Kangvai where lifesaving medical assistance was provided.
The individual was discharged after stabilising his condition.
Meanwhile, Churachandpur Battalion of IGAR (South) of Spear Corps constructed and handed over two cemented water tanks at L Phunchongjang village in Churachandpur district on Wednesday under Operation Sadhbhavna.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the water tanks were constructed as part of public outreach efforts to aid 60 households for water storage and rain water harvesting.
The project will help villagers especially the women by reducing their burden of fetching water from remote water sources, it added.
