Muvanlai, YUCC, YWC script wins Superplate tournament

Muvanlai, YUCC and YWC emerged the victors in Wednesday's fixtures of the MNCA Superplate Tournament.
Muvanlai eased to a 5-wick-et win over THAU at Oriental College Ground.
The New Lambulane side bundled their Thangmeiband opponents for a meagre 55 in 16.4 overs as Huidrom Sanjit (30) emerged as the lone per former in THAU's innings.
Khaikhotinlal Haokip led the Muvanlai attack, claiming 4 wickets as Gouminlun Kipgen picked 3 wickets, Avinash Asmali bagged 2 and Sanjay Kaphle chipped in with 1.Muvanlai took 12.2 overs to achieve their target with 5 wickets to spare.
Shibadatta Ningthoujam (13 not out), Thangtingou Sitlhou (9 not out), Nandakumar (9), Glientinthang Kipgen (5), Seihboi Vaiphei (5), Khaikhotinlal Haokip (4) and Haolengou Kipgen (3) were the run-get ters in their side's victory.
For, THAU, Huidrom Sanjit scalped 3 wickets and Chittaranjan Ngangom and Rabikanta Sharma took 1 each.
Khaikhotin Haokip was adjudged man of the match.
YUCC, meanwhile, thrashed KASC by 8 wickets at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Riding on 4 wickets each by Khundrakpam Punshiba Mangang and Ningthoujam Amarjit, YUCC skittled out KASC for 111 in 33 overs.
Ningthoujam Rahulkumar and Sumankumar Konjengbam accounted for 1 wicket apiece.
YUCC then completed their run chase in 25 overs, losing just 2 wickets in the process to seal a huge win.
Ningthoujam Sanjit (38 not out), Laishram Bidyashwor (26 not out), Ningthoujam Rohit (15) and Ningthoujam Thoiba (11) were the contributors in YUCC's successful chase.
Khundrakpam Punshiba Mangang earned the man-of-the-match title.
At Langthabal Ground, YWC pulled off a 30-run triumph over PSC.
YWC opted to bat first and were all out for 171 in 30.2 overs.
Ngangbam Maheshkumar top-scored with 51 as Ngangbam Binngson made 35 and Heisnam Manikanta contributed 30 in their innings.
In reply, PSC came out short in the run chase after being restricted tol41 for 7 in 35 overs.
Fighting efforts from Laimayum Prasantajit Sharma (44) and Kharaijam Sagarjit (30) proved to be not enough for their side.
Leishangthem Bishorjit was the pick of YWC's bowlers.
He snapped 3 wickets as Heisnam manikanta, Albert Sorokhaibam and Ngangbam Bishwash took 1 wicket each.
Ngangbam Maheshkumar was named man of the match.
